What’s the hazard

The seat belts can permanently lock up in the fully retracted position. If this happens, the driver or passenger cannot reset the seat belt and put it on while the vehicle is operating. This poses injury and crash hazards.

Vanderhall has received 11 reports of the seat belt locking up. No injuries have been reported.

What to do

Stop using the recalled vehicles immediately. Contact an authorized Vanderhall dealer to schedule a free repair. A technician will install an insert into the seat belt guide slot on each seat. The insert reduces the speed the seat belt retracts and prevents the lockup.
